It is official, Adelyn is now 4 months old.  Life is starting to feel like life again instead of a vacation.  The number of photos I took this month versus the previous three (500 down from 900-1000 each of the last three) is probably an indication that life is getting back to normal (or turning into normal).  I am back to work now and have two weddings under my belt as a mother.  Both of my couples were incredibly understanding and made the transition very smooth (THANK YOU!).  And Adelyn is Adelyn.  She is still growing super fast but I know her now in a way that you do people you love… like they have always been a part of you.  The way Jason and I were when we first met 10 years ago in New Zealand.

Major life moments for her this month include giggling, really talking, and moving into her own room (which was much harder on me than her).  She now goes to bed at 6pm and wakes up at 6am with regularity… crazy.  I can’t wait for the warmer days to start coming more often to get her outside and exploring the world!

I think half way through month three she shed the last bit of infant and turned into a baby.

She moved from our bed to her bassinet in our room to her bassinet in the nursery and then into the crib…

That smile just melts my heart.
